1. Kamakshi Amman Temple
The Kamakshi Amman Temple is located in the city of Kanchipuram in the state of Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to Kamakshi, the ultimate Goddess Lalita Maha Tripura Sundari and built by the Pallava kings. 2. Varadharaja Perumal Temple
Varadharaja Perumal Temple is located in the city of Kanchipuram in the state of Tamil Nadu. Popularly known as Attiyuran or Hastagiri. However, believed to be built in 1053 by the Chola dynasty. Hence, it has great historical importance. It is one of the Divya Desams, the 108 temples of Vishnu believed to have been visited by the 12 poet-saints. Famous for its Dravidian architecture and consists of old pillars made out of stone. Further, the 350 inscriptions belonging to different dynasties are the highlights of this temple. 3. Kailasanathar Temple
The Kailasanathar temple is located in the city of Kanchipuram in the state of Tamil Nadu. Built during the reign of Rajasimha from the years 685 to 705 and, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the oldest surviving monuments in Kanchipuram. There are around 58 small shrines of Lord Shiva around the temple. The temple holds great significance and value for the Hindu devotees. Maha Shivratri is a famous festival that attracts more than thousands of devotees every year. 4. Ekambareswarar Temple
Ekambareswarar Temple is located in the city of Kanchipuram in the state of Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to the deity Shiva and also represented by the lingam, with his idol referred to as Prithvi lingam. It is one of the temples associated with the five elements, the Pancha Bhoota Stalas, and specifically holds the element of earth. The temple covers an area of 25 acres and, also home to more than 20 halls with more than 1000 pillars in them. Hence, it is one of the largest temples in India. It houses four gateway towers known as gopurams. Also, one of the amazing facts of this temple is that, the 1000 lingas present here are all carved out of one solitary stone. 5. Vaikunda Perumal Temple
Vaikunta Perumal Temple is located in the city of Kanchipuram in the state of Tamil Nadu. Also called Thiru Parameswara Vinnagaram. Built by the Pallava king Narasimhavarman II (720-96 CE) and, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Vaikunta Perumal Templeis more than 1000 years old. Further, this temple is the second oldest extant temple in Kanchipuram after the Kailasanthar temple.
